More rankings are on the way.
NBA 2K26 Season One Report (TOP 5)

#1) Kevin Cruz (YouTube / Educator) – The undisputed number one in our Top 5. Kevin isn’t just a hooper on 2K — he’s a teacher & student of the game. Through his YouTube channel, he breaks down dribbling, defense, and the ins-and-outs of how to truly master NBA 2K. But his real gift is that what he teaches, he applies every time he touches the sticks.
On the floor, Kevin Cruz plays with minimal dribbles and maximum efficiency. No wasted movement. No spamming. Just smooth, controlled pacing that mirrors real basketball. He carries himself with a natural zen — not the fake kind from modded controllers, but a calm, effortless poise that makes the game look easy. He’s not out there chasing ego or forcing highlights; he plays because he genuinely loves the game and respects the craft.
Contribution to the Community: Kevin Cruz is the blueprint. He’s the channel everyone watches to learn the game, and he shows by example how 2K can be played with real hoop principles: patience, efficiency, and IQ. He reminded the community that less is more — and that true mastery comes from understanding the game, not trying to break it.
Skills: Teacher of the game, master of pace, elite defensive fundamentals, efficient scoring with minimal movement.

#2)DIMEWORK (The Lab) – A crafty shot creator with real guard instincts. He practices what he plays — smooth footwork, open shots, and tough finishes. Tested in Starting Five, he’s a bucket-getter who keeps defenders guessing every trip down.

With an elite handle and creativity off the dribble, he separates himself from the pack every time down the floor. Tested in Starting Five, he’s a proven bucket-getter who keeps defenders guessing on every possession.
Contribution to the Community: DIMEWORK showed hoopers that skill work translates in 2K. His dribble package and decision-making mirror real-life guard play, reminding the community that IQ plus craft is what separates hoopers from gamers.
Skills: Tight handle, shot creation, ability to break down defenders and create offense when possessions stall.

#3) Blaq Kobra (Brooklyn, NY) – A post beast who makes you earn everything. He’s not spamming cheese or chasing greens — he’s bringing real hoops to 2K. With Brooklyn toughness and true basketball IQ, he forces opponents into a grind and plays the game the right way. Top-five presence, no question.
Contribution to the Community: BlaqKobra put the post game back on the map. He reminded the 2K world that you can slow it down, get physical, and dominate inside-out. His style proved that patience and skill in the paint still control tempo — a real basketball approach in a game full of shortcuts.
Skills: Elite footwork on the block, patience under pressure, and the ability to dictate tempo. Plays with physicality and IQ that translate directly from real hoops.

#4) Marauder (College Student / Shooter) – Coming in at #4 on our Top 5, Marauder is a marksman with unlimited range and even bigger confidence. He’ll pull from anywhere on the floor — and more often than not, it’s cash. His belief in himself is contagious, and his upbeat, funny personality makes him one of the most entertaining hoopers to watch in the 2K community.
Not just flash, Marauder backs it up with results. He shoots at a high clip, has proven himself in competitive runs, and even won money playing 2K. A young talent balancing his college grind with his digital grind, he shows that swagger and self-belief are as important as mechanics.
Contribution to the Community: Marauder reminds hoopers that confidence is a weapon. He showed the community that if you trust your shot and play with joy, you can light it up from anywhere and make the game fun again.
Strengths: Elite shooting, extreme confidence, clutch mentality, entertaining presence both on and off the sticks.

#5) Joe Knows (Community Favorite / Iso Specialist) – Rounding out our Top 5, Joe Knows is a household name in the 2K community. His isolation game is his calling card — smooth, confident, and nearly impossible to contain one-on-one. What makes him stand out isn’t just skill, but his ability to consistently put himself in the right situations. Joe has a knack for surrounding himself with teammates who complement his strengths, elevating both his game and the squad’s performance.
Joe’s journey hasn’t been without controversy. Last year, he was banned from tournaments — a decision that sparked plenty of conversation in the community. But instead of disappearing, Joe’s popularity only grew. His charisma, consistency, and relentless play kept him at the center of the scene, proving that you can’t keep a real hooper off the floor for long.
Contribution to the Community: Joe Knows brings star power and entertainment to 2K. He reminded hoopers that the isolation game is still an art, and that surrounding yourself with the right squad is just as important as individual talent.
Strengths: Elite isolation scorer, charisma, consistency, ability to build and play within a team that fits his game.
